Domestic abuse is happening to people as you read this – your work colleagues, family, friends, you or someone close to you.
The Crime Survey for England and Wales estimated that 2.3 million people aged 16 years and over experienced domestic abuse in the year ending March 2024. Of the above figure 1.6 million people were women and 757,000 men. This why training from Voices is always inclusive of all genders, sexual orientation, ages, backgrounds, everyone!
And this figure will be an under estimation as many cases go unreported and unseen. Some of us will have been subjected to abuse historically or may have witnessed it at home when we were younger.
If you are considering this training, you either want to better understand how domestic abuse affects adults and children, or you want to update your current knowledge and awareness.
The session will cover:
There will be resources after the session including details of local and national organisations who can support domestic abuse, trauma, and other forms of abuse. The session can then lead onto other training on how to support in the workplace, safety planning, links to other organisations and more training on topics around domestic abuse.
Who the session is suitable for:
EVERYONE – we won’t recognise domestic abuse if we don’t know what it looks like – we can all support if we do.
Available online or face to face – if you want a company group session this will be £350 up to 30 people (plus travel expenses face to face no VAT applies to prices).
Abuse is a human issue.
